Websites you need to check out (Part 1)

As the title of this article suggests, this is just a list I put together of random websites you may or may not have heard of, with a brief explanation of each of them. I broke them down by section. Feel free to leave a comment with any other cool sites that we may not know of as this article is a work in progress.

The best site ever

http://thisiswhyimbroke.com/ – This site is easily one of the coolest sites to go visit, as they have probably the largest selection of stuff you never knew about or never you knew you needed! From Millenium Falcon chocolate molds to Titanic ice cube trays, all the way to Water Jet Packs and a Camera Lens coffee mug. Chicago Blackhawks 2011-2012 Season Wrap-Up

Crawford Chicago BlackhawksHere we are again for the second straight year. Another first round exit from the playoffs. In my opinion, this one hurts a little more than last year’s exit. Even though we lost to the Canucks, we barely made the playoffs and no one expected them to go far. This season, however, I knew we didn’t have enough to win the Cup, but I thought for sure we would be able to get past Phoenix. During the regular season, we were able to get past some of our weaknesses and still make a good push into the playoffs. However, our weaknesses were exposed in the first round and now everyone is dusting off the golf clubs. There are quite a few things the Hawks need to do in order to be back in the running for the Cup next season. In this post, I will address management, coaches, and players. BE ADVISED! As a fan of sports, we all have our own opinions on things. I’m sure there will be stuff you agree with me on and stuff that you don’t. This is my honest opinion on how to make a Cup run for the 2012-2013 season (hoping that there is no lockout).

Shanahan needs to go!

The first round of the 2012 NHL Playoffs are some of the most intense games I have seen post-lockout. Normally, the play has been tough, but stayed clean throughout the playoffs. This year is a whole other story. So many cheap shots are being given out and it’s getting nasty on the ice. I blame Brendan Shanahan for the reason why things have gotten so out of control during the playoffs. From the first night of games, he set the entire tone by not doing his job. I am going to go through a few of the suspensions he has given out and include my feelings on the discipline. Let’s start off with the one Shanahan fucked up on the most and shows why he can no longer do this job after the jump.

The Cabin in the Woods Review

Cabin in the Woods Movie PosterAs most of you know, the Horror genre is my favorite genre for movies. I try my best to see any movie that comes out. Lately, it has been getting harder and harder to go see a horror movie. First of all, the audience for these movies usually drive me nuts. But more importantly, they are all being more of the same. Going into a horror flick, I can usually predict what is going to happen and how it will happen too. Sure, there are still times when I jump, but that is more so going from dead silence to an extremely loud noise which would make just about anyone jump. When I first saw the trailer for The Cabin in the Woods, I started thinking to myself what would happen in this movie and thought I was 90% on. Some early reviews were released and they were all quite positive. I planned on see it anyways, but I got a little more excited. This movie was definitely not what I was expecting!

NHL 2012 Post-Season Predictions

NHL 2012 PlayoffsIt is time for the greatest time of the year! The NHL playoffs kick off on Wednesday and I couldn’t be more excited! There are a lot of great match-ups that can go either way. There are only one or two match-ups that I think can be an easy pick, but who knows. My predictions this year were no where near as on as I was last season. Let’s take a look at what I said and what really happened:
