Websites you need to check out (Part 1)

As the title of this article suggests, this is just a list I put together of random websites you may or may not have heard of, with a brief explanation of each of them.  I broke them down by section.  Feel free to leave a comment with any other cool sites that we may not know of as this article is a work in progress.

THE BEST SITE EVER

http://thisiswhyimbroke.com/ – This site is easily one of the coolest sites to go visit, as they have probably the largest selection of stuff you never knew about or never you knew you needed!  From Millenium Falcon chocolate molds to Titanic ice cube trays, all the way to Water Jet Packs and a Camera Lens coffee mug.  The site has links to many different web sites to purchase the stuff at, so check it out.  Below are a couple of pictures of some stuff they sell.

MOVIES/MUSIC/CELEBRITIES

http://allmusic.com/ - One of the best music sites ever.  Full discographys, bio’s, and just about anything else yoe want to know about a band.

http://www.aintitcool.com/ – This is a great place to read up on rumors and facts of upcoming movies, and a great place to win tickets see screening of movies months before they come out, often with the stars of the movies showing up for a Q&A session.

http://filmdrunk.uproxx.com/ – Another great movie site, with humor this time.  One of the best places to read about movies while getting a ton of laughs in the process.

http://www.wwtdd.com/ – This is more of a celebrity gossip site, although it’s actually funny, unlike that douche Perez.

COOL SHIRTS

http://www.teefury.com/ – A 24 hour shirt website, meaning they only sell one shirt a day, and every shirt is $10.  Some of the designs people come up with are pretty cool, like the 8-bit game of thrones t-shirt I bought from here.  Shirts are normal fitting cotton, so order what you normally would wear.

http://riptapparel.com/ – Another 24 hour shirt website for $10 each, it’s pretty much just like teefury, but with different shirts.  WARNING – if you order a shirt from them, I suggest you go a size up, as they use the very thin t-shirts that never fit they size they say.  They also sell hoodie’s.  I’ve bought a couple of cool Calvin & Hobbes T-shirts from here btw.

http://www.woot.com/ – A worth while place to check out as well if looking for something different.

http://www.redbubble.com/ – The ultimate website with just about any type of shirt you could want.  Looking for a weird comic shirt, a great piece of art for a wall, or a cool iphone case that no one else has?  Then check out this place.  Almost all the shirts from the above mentioned sites eventually end up here.  Below are a couple pics of stuff from this site.

HUMOR

http://theoatmeal.com/  - A pretty funny site that a guy does with drawings.  From good advice to how things really are.

http://www.apocalypsecartoons.com/ – Do NOT go to this site if you are easily offended…or Catholic!  If you do check this one out, make sure to watch the Father Tucker episodes and Rats on Cocaine.  NSFW at all!

http://harkavagrant.com/ – Satire, sarcastic stuff, great for literature or history buffs.

http://www.penny-arcade.com/ – You should already know about this site, seriously.

http://www.cracked.com/ – Not only a humor site, but a great place for random thoughts, myths, and facts.

SPORTS

http://www.hockeybuzz.com/ – This is a cool site for hockey fans, mostly based off of opinions and rumors, check it out.

http://www.secondcityhockey.com/ – Another great hockey site, you know, unlike ESPNBA.

http://deadspin.com/ – A good sports site with some humor.

http://fansided.com/ – A total blog site, good info here.

http://www.thebestsportsblog.com/ – Blog site, put together pretty good.

http://www.rotorob.com/ – A little of everything here.

Like I said, feel free to let me know of any sites I may be missing!
